One Lovely Blog

Great news!

Spinning Webbs has been nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award!

one-lovely-blog-award2It is always nice to get recognition from my blogging peers, and these little ‘pass it on’ awards are a great way of doing that.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to Lunapo of Biblebelt Witch for the nomination.

The rules of this award are as follows:

  • List the rules
  • Thank the nominator and link back to them
  • List seven facts about yourself
  • Nominate fifteen other blogs and link to them

So, here goes.

  1. I have a need to always keep my hands busy. I can’t sit without something in my hands and will always be knitting or sewing while in the car or watching tv.
  2. I suffer with chronic pain in my knees.
  3. I gave up smoking for six months and it drove me crazy. Luckily I discovered Ecigs and now I’m never without my electronic smoke.
  4. I have recently taken up walking and can now walk 3 kilometers a day. No easy feat with my knees as bad as they are.
  5. I gave birth to my Daughter when I was seventeen years old.
  6. I have a bit of a problem with Tarot cards, I can’t stop buying new decks. I now have more than I could possibly use, but yet, I am still buying them.
  7. I am a total hermit. I don’t like leaving the house and avoid social situations as much as I can. In my younger days I was a really social person and hated being alone. Now I prefer my own company and that of my animals.

I now extend my nomination to the following bloggers:

Again, a big thanks to Lunapo.

  1. Congrats! Sounds like we have a few of those in common, like numbers 5, 6 and 7. I was actually 18 when I Gabe birth, but was 17 when I got pregnant. Now, I’m a grandma. 🙂

Congrats again, to you and all your nominees.

    1. It sounds young, but it was the right thing for me, even more so in hindsight. Just the thought of raising children now makes me tired. Back then I had the energy to keep up with a toddler and just enjoyed it all. Now it would be too hard and I wouldn’t enjoy all those little things, as I did back then.
Congrats on becoming a Grandma. I look forward to that myself, but just not yet!

      1. Lol, I know what you mean. Everything happens for a reason and even tho I got a lot crap back then, she’s the only one I was ever able to have (she’s 21 now and I’ve had 13 miscarriages since her). Had I not gotten pregnant when I did, I might never have had a child at all.

      2. Wow. Worked out for you too. I’m a firm believer in everything happening for a reason, as well.
