A little reminder of Spring warmth, in the midst of this dark and bitterly cold winter.
This photo was taken late last Spring in a canola field.
This was a very good year for canola growers, a bumper crop.

Canola is my districts most profitable crop.
It is used to make food oil and is easy to grow, provided we get some rain, which is never guaranteed.
Canola is one of the first crops to be grown in the warmer months, and as Spring heats up, yellow fields line the roads.
